A Message from the Director  🎄

Wow—this year truly flew by, and another one is already just weeks away!

The Chamber of Commerce wrapped up the year with our annual Lighted Christmas Parade, and now our focus turns to Rip’s Ribs Cook-Off and Rip’s Wine Festival on April 11th. Wine tickets are already on sale through Eventbrite, and here at the office we’re busy preparing registrations for cooks, vendors, and wineries, along with updated online information...all to make this the best Rip’s Ribs & Wine event yet.

Thank you all for your continued support and contributions to the Eastland Chamber of Commerce. It is because of you—our Chamber family—that we are able to work together to help the Eastland community thrive. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see what 2026 has in store!

A big thank you is in order for the Chamber’s Administrative Assistant, Leah Flowers. She has nearly single-handedly organized both of our annual parades, prepared and organized our scripts for events with speakers, keeps our LED sign updated with eye-catching graphics, and plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly. Thank you, Leah, for your dedication and commitment to the Chamber!

Wishing you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, filled with joy, health, and success.

— Julie Elrod, Executive Director

Christmas Parade & One Starry Night Dec 6th

We had some fantastic entries in our annual Rip’s Lighted Christmas Parade! Thank you to everyone who entered the parade and to all who came out to enjoy the evening. One Starry Night in the Grimes Garden was filled with holiday music, laughter, and excited children waiting for their chance to visit with Santa—making one last heartfelt plea to prove they’d been nice and to ask for those favorite gifts.

Top Parade Entries:

1st Place ($250): Eastland Memorial Hospital Volunteers, with their choreographed group dance featuring reindeer inflatables set to Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

2nd Place ($100):
First Financial Bank, showcasing a festive sleigh pulled by eight inflatable reindeer and led by Rudolph himself.

3rd Place ($50):
Eastland Youth Cheer Association Float.

An Honorable Mention goes to the Delma Barrera Family Tradition. They joined the parade to start a new family tradition and earned enough votes to place 4th. We hope this is a tradition they continue for many years to come!

Grateful for Our Sponsors’ Support!

A huge thank you to all of our annual sponsors who helped support our many events throughout the year. Because of you, we were able to host Rip’s Ribs and RipFest—bringing great entertainment, community fun, and visitors to Eastland. If you run into these folks around town, be sure to thank them! We truly couldn’t do this without their support and the help of our many dedicated volunteers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

As we enter a new year and begin planning for our upcoming events, we are once again inviting our business partners to consider becoming an annual sponsor. Rather than being contacted throughout the year, this single annual sponsorship supports all of our events. Be sure to check out the incentives available at each sponsorship level.

If you’re interested in renewing your sponsorship, or if you’ve never sponsored before but are ready to get involved, please give us a call or email us for details on how to get set up. And a special thank you to those who have already signed on as 2026 sponsors. We truly appreciate your continued support!
