A Message from the Director

As we move through November, I want to share how truly thankful we are for the businesses, organizations, and community members who make the Eastland Chamber of Commerce such a strong and vibrant part of Eastland. Your continued partnership is what keeps our community growing and thriving.

Annual membership invoices have been sent to those who have been with us for more than a year. As a reminder, we updated our membership structure this past year—moving away from prorated dues and an October 1st renewal, to renewing individually on the anniversary of each member’s join date.

We’ve also sent out information on our annual sponsorship opportunities. Becoming an annual sponsor is a great way to increase your visibility, support Chamber events and programs throughout the year, and strengthen your connection with our community. We hope you’ll consider partnering with us at this elevated level. If you didn’t receive the information on our Sponsorship Program, or if you’d like to take another look, we’ve included all the details for you here

From all of us at the Eastland Chamber, we wish you a warm and joyful Thanksgiving.

Julie Elrod, Executive Director

Christmas Parade & One Starry Night Dec 6th

It’s not too late to register your float, vehicle, or even your light-up tennis shoes for the Old Rip Annual Lighted Christmas Parade! This year’s theme is “A Storybook Christmas.” It’s a wonderful way to start a family tradition, showcase your business, church or organization and help us create a magical experience for the community.

The parade begins at 6 PM, with lineup at 5 PM. Register online, give us a call, or stop by the Chamber for a registration form. We need YOU to help make this the best Christmas Parade yet — and registration is FREE!

The annual BOO! In the Garden was held on Halloween night in Grimes Garden. Hundreds of trick-or-treaters filed through to pick up treats from local businesses. Pictured above: Eastland County Sheriff's Office.

Park Hill Improvements

Eastland has continued to grow and improve since our last newsletter. The Eastland Lions Club has worked tirelessly throughout the year, coordinating efforts and fundraising to bring a new all-inclusive playground to the Eastland City Park. To make the space even more special, they lined the walkway from the new Kenneth Chapman Lions Pavilion to the playground with historic Thurber bricks. Community members were able to purchase engraved bricks as part of a fundraiser—creating a lasting way to leave their mark. A ribbon cutting on the 19th officially opened the playground, and this beautiful addition has already made the park more accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable for countless children and families.

October Business of the Month: CenterWell Home Health

CenterWell Home Health was recognized as our October Business of the Month. On October 28th, the Chamber provided a luncheon for the CenterWell team in appreciation of their continued support. CenterWell has been a longtime partner of the Eastland Chamber of Commerce, and we are grateful for all they do. Thank you, CenterWell!

November Business of the Month: B&W Health Care

B&W Clinic is celebrating 70 years in Eastland, and we were proud to recognize them as our November Business of the Month. Lunch was delivered by the Chamber on November 18th.

January Business of the Month: Eastland County Today

There will be no Business of the Month lunch in December. To kick off the New Year, Eastland County Today has been selected as our January Business of the Month! Watch for an email in December with details about our upcoming lunch to celebrate this recognition.
