Eastland County Today Celebrated as the January Business of the Month
|
The January Business of the Month lunch for Eastland County Today was postponed until February 3, due to icy road conditions the final week of January. Chamber members gathered for the rescheduled photo, where lunch was provided and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to connect. Thank you, Eastland County Today for your contributions to our community!

Retirement Reception for Debbie Wharton
|
After 20 years of dedicated service, Debbie Wharton — who knows every corner and secret of the grand old Connellee Hotel & Civic Center — will be retiring on February 28th. Debbie has been the one behind the scenes booking events for both the Connellee and The Lumber Yard Event Center, moving tables and chairs, setting up for gatherings, and maintaining, cleaning, and caring for these treasured community assets with genuine pride and love.
The Eastland Community Foundation will host a retirement reception for Debbie at the Connellee on February 26 from 5:00–6:30 PM. Please stop by to thank Debbie and let her know how much her work has meant to our community — and join us in welcoming Crystal Purdom, who will be stepping into this role following Debbie’s retirement.

Primary Elections: Tuesday, March 3
Early Voting Begins Tuesday, February 17

- Early Voting runs February 17 - 27.
- Election Day is Tuesday, March 3, 2026. 7AM - 7PM
- For this primary election only, voting on Election Day will be conducted with paper ballots in the Republican Primary.
- All early voting is at the Eastland County Courthouse.
- There will be NO county-wide voting on election day.
- ALL Eastland County registered voters must cast their ballot at their assigned precinct location on Election Day.
Because paper ballots will be used in the Republican Primary, voter check-in and the voting process may take longer than usual. Consider voting early to help avoid and reduce Election Day lines.
