NEW THIS YEAR: St. Louis Style Ribs provided by Cook Teams. The Chamber WILL NOT provide ribs.

The Annual Rip's Ribs Cookoff is a great day in downtown Eastland to fire up your grill and make your famous Ribs with special rubs, sauces, spices, and more! 

Each year, the Eastland Chamber of Commerce gives away over $2,500 in cash prizes to the top cookoff teams! Professional and celebrity judges judge rib entries.  

Ribs Cook-Off Prize Winnings:

1st Place -     $1,000.00
2nd Place-     $750.00
3rd Place-      $500.00
4th Place-      $250.00
5th Place-      $150.00

UPDATED MARCH 1, 2026 OPTIONAL CATEGORIES
Cooks can enter the optionals categories in Desserts, Chicken, Wild Game, Beef, and Beans. This is a fun competition and winners in these additional categories will get the entry pot for that category and a year’s worth of bragging rights! All optional category entries must be cooked/prepared onsite. 

Cook teams may begin arriving and setting up at 6:00 PM on Friday evening. At that time, teams are welcome to start cooking for any of the optional categories.

Rib cooking may not begin until after the mandatory Cook’s Meeting at 9:00 AM on Saturday.

Be sure to fill in every blank that has a red line in the box or a red asterisk.
