Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting: Genealogy Center

EASTLAND COUNTY MUSEUM TO HOST GRAND OPENING OF ‘NEW’ GENEALOGY CENTER

Join us on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. for the Grand Opening of the Eastland County Museum’s new Genealogy Center!

We are pleased to welcome author and genealogist Sheryl Reed Rascher, who will present “Getting Started (or Restarted) on Your Family History Research Journey.” Whether you are just beginning to explore your family history or ready to pick up where you left off, Sheryl will offer helpful guidance and inspiration for your research journey.

Following the presentation, take a tour of the new Genealogy Center and let our local genealogist, Nelda Rodgers, and Ms Rasher provide assistance with your family history research.

Refreshments will be served.

The Museum and Genealogy Center will be open for the event from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A special thanks goes to Kathy Druesedow and the board of the Eastland Centennial Memorial Library for donating the original genealogy records to the Eastland County Museum.
